Carpet and undercarpet insulation

Post by maytag »

Hey y'all!
So this evening I got the insulation layers down, prior to beginning the carpet.

I purchased a heavy Boat Carpet, with the idea that it would be very durable in the weather. I'll be working on it tomorrow evening.
I'm not re-installing the console / tunnel cover, so any suggestions / tips on the best way to form / mold the carpet to those complex shapes is appreciated,

Current progress:
got the main part of the tunnel completed last night. The seaming and stretching and etc is what really takes the time.. but I think it'll look really nice when it's done.

Don't want to be a party-pooper, but I trust the gear shift is in good shape..no rattles, greased cups ect... :D
Now when the carpet is in, you can engineer a fine cup and change holder...
Going to look good, looking forward seeing it when it is done.

Yes, yes..... :?:
However, that isn't finished product either. It'll have access through the boot and ring; still to come.

after all the crap I took on this forum for wrapping my header.... and before that for adding relays to everything with any significant electrical load.... and before that for my HID headlights.... and the list goes on and on... I didn't want to hang myself out there on another brilliant :!: idea  that would be slaughtered by the back-seat crowd. So I changed the photos.

here's how it looked when I took 'er out today.
I still need to put a couple finishers on it. But I'm quite happy with it.

Maytag,

That looks awesome.
Great job.
Sweet ride you have there, at least by what I see of the interior.
