After cutting the springs, how do you get the spring to seat correctly?
Thanks,

Re: Springs sitting flat
the springs sit in seats of the top and bottom that match up with the end of the spring. if you cut a full loop out of the spring, they shouldn't require adjusting. If you cut a partial loop, pull the top seat and rotate to match the spring,.

Problem is the top and bottom coils are flattened to sit on those seats. Even if I cut a full coil out it will still only have one point of contact at the very end of the coil right?

none of my coils are flattened. they are chopped off at 90 degrees where it is designed to sit in the cup. as the spring loads with weight, it will settle into the cup.
