Gina update

Post by baltobernie »

Side markers patched; body rust welded. Etching gas tank now. (I can't imaging doing this to a full-size American car tank of 18+ gallons; you'd need at least three people to slosh it around.) POR-15 on engine compartment as soon as everything dries, then engine/trans back in. And the most difficult task, picking the exterior color, is done (Primrose). Not long now, folks!

Good job! I can't wait to see the finished product. What color is Primrose?
Are you planning on joining us at the Freakout this year?

Thanks for your comments. Primrose is pale yellow; not a Fiat color in 1973, but period correct. Common to British cars of the era, and Ferrari had a similar color around that time. Should go well with the original hubcaps and chrome bumpers (but not as shiny as your stuff!)

Sent my FLU dues in yesterday, and we hope to attend FFO. Have friends in northern Jersey, and plan on making a long weekend of it. Are you bringing your red car, 'cause I gotta see those taillamps!

Denise, are you trailering your car? 'Cause I-80 in Pennsyltuckey is not a fun trip in anything other than a big, big sedan. Every Spring they find mastodons - although lately it hasn't been too bad; Mini's fill the holes rather nicely ...

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Yeah, I'll be trailering it. Not because I wouldn't drive it that distance but because Ron won't ride in it that long. Besides, my trailer carries all the Fiat tools everyone needs.
