Dave it started with a set of weber 40 idfs that i took off a euro car. we installed larger chokes. at the moment it has a single weber 38 that u have to ease into at the start, then it screams. my hope is to fuel inject it someday. i have some adjustable cam pullys that will also be put on someday. here is a pic with the single weber, not as pretty.

Anything's possible if you have deep enough pockets.
Build yourself a supercharged/turbocharged 16-valve Integrale engine and slot that in the engine bay. It should be good for a 6-second run before the gearbox hemorrhages, or the diff shatters.

it dosent have secondaries. the 2 barrels work simultaneously. thats why you need to ease into it before dumping on it. i havent driven it enough to realy be sure which is better.

I know a turbo charged Spider that may be for sale in Wisconsin. bring a sack of cash, however.

Rey, the ADL series are " progressive " but manually operated. The DCOE, or DGAS carbs opened both barrles simotaniously.

Thats a nice setup you got there Spiderrey. However that accelerator cable routing scares me. Is there a way to shorten the cable, or since the linkages are so close is there a way to directly connect them with a cam, bracket, pully, spring etc...?

Crank fired distributor??

Hey, clean that corrosion off the battery and paint the intake cam pully, sorry but when you post pretty pictures people will always comment.

Can I swap these from a stronger car?

I'm running a turbo, but it is the original set-up from new that Fiat had Legend Industries convert back in the day. It is only rated at 20HP more than the non-turbo 2.0 FI models, but it feels noticable faster with very little turbo lag. I know people are hot and cold on the original turbo models, but I really love mine. Speed wise, it doesn't hold a candle to my BMW M3. But I put nearly four times the miles on my Spider last summer than I did my M3. There's something special about the Spider that just makes me want to drive it everywhere in the summer.
