Setting the market for 124s?

Hey Jim, this 68 is for sale for around $5000.00 cdn. It need shock towers re & re and some inner fender work. The fellow still drives it in the summer. History was it was bought in Europe ( Holland) moved to Spain and then here in 1980.
If I had the loot I'd bite if he would sell it for less.

I think you are not far off if you would invest 3-5000 thou on this, you would be at the $8-9000 total.

you can retro fit old style bumpers. i put on a set of SS aftermarket ones. the fit was a PITA

most of us realize going into these projects that we will invest more than they are worth. My original intention was to buy a cheap runner. Once I got into it and realized all that needed to be done, i became concerned about the safety aspect, so embarked on a grounds up. I look at it as saving a car that would be rotting away in someones back 40. maybe i'm just trying to justify spending stupid money on the thing I did buy the car from my son with the stipulation that it gets willed back to him. This means one of my grandkids will end up with it. having gone thru the car this thoroughly means i will have an eye popper til the day i cant drive anymore and then i get to watch my grandkids learn to appreciate a legacy. I say that means money well spent

I agree, I plan on doing the same with my 69, hope they take care of it, thin is at this time they don't give a hoot, mine grand son is 19 and there no way in hell would I give him it. Lol when he is 40 I will
