After you've had your Spider in enough public places, you begin to recognize "that" look ... the one that a former owner gives off when he/she sees a Spider after a long absence. I'm sitting with my sister-in-law at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix car show this week, when a couple approaches my car with "that" look in their eyes. "I bet you used to have one", I say. They smile; my SoL says, "How did you know?". Of course, then you're obligated to hear their ownership story, but the story always ends with, "I still miss it."

To really make their day, let them blow the horn :D

I usually have a similar experience like BALTOBERNIE. I have to hear everyone's story about the fiat spider they used to have. "It broke down all the time" seems to be a familiar theme :?

By the way, I LOVE TACOS! Especially the ones wrapped in sweaters 8)

I parked outside a clothing store and was near the register when one of the young hipster dudes who works there came in and said to his friends..."i want THAT car" They said what car and he said "that caddy out there" There were no other cars out there so i think he mistook the round badge on the grille for a caddilac logo...

As for the fine offer in Tacoma you sure it wasnt "Chips and beer...? Our (at least MY) middle aged ears aint what they used to be, particularly in a situation like that. :D
