Rebuilding the motor ( 1592 cc ) on my 73 spyder and would like to know the factory colour of the block and head. :)

Mine was Grey

block was light grey and head was natural aluminum

Thanks for the information. My engine had been boiled and rebuilt years ago and left in bare metal. :)

Yep, just finished degreasing the front of my 80 and discovered under the muck that the block is light grey, just a little lighter than a battleship grey.

A close color (colour) match is Ford engine gray (grey). "Duplicolor" is a popular brand in the States (colonies).
