Canada Day

Post by narfire »

Yeterday was celebrated as Canada Day.
Watched the Euro 2012 final.... what a game, Spain demonstated a soccer clinic. Amazing skill and speed,finish...
First day in hockey free agency some have moved and some dumb contracts...long term for big money??
An afternoon at friends house for a Canada Day party... Bocche with mandatory drink in one hand...
Today it might be dry enough to take the car out for a little drive.
A youtube clip as to what can be done with beer bottles and cans in typical Canadian fashion.

Had a great day here too, Chris. We took our grandson to the Canada Day Parade. Classic small town deal - two marching bands (one, of course, was the local pipe band), one float with lots of hay bales, a half dozen of antique tractors, the local Classic Cruisers car club with their Detroit iron, the British Car Club with a bunch of old MG's and Triumphs - and interestingly enough, the Prostrate Cancer Survivors Club who were marching with their cheeks clenched rather tightly. I can only assume the local Italians were getting ready to watch the game, so the only other two Italian cars I've seen in our Valley (a couple of Alfas) were, like my Spider, still in their garages.
I too hope all our friends south of the border have a great (and safe) day on Wednesday!
