Actually, the 124 spiders were ALL built by Pinninfarina, right from the start. Initially Fiat supplied rolling floor-pans and Pinnins' built the bodies to go back to Fiat to finish off assembly. Later,(early 70's?) Fiat just supplied the componentry and Pinnins did the rest. Then in 82, they got wierd ideas and handed marketing over as well, presumably to concentrate on creating some of those awful design cock-ups of the mid 80s. Some were truly abismall. And I currently own 4 fiats !
