As for
. Again, Mark, you are correct. I believe the decisions and actions of Govermenent officials should be conducted in an ethical manner so that the decisions can stand the light of day. Details that may jeopardize national security or endanger the lives of people in or around the fast and furious program can be blacked out of documents if needed. I think the word I'm looking for is transparency. Sounds nice until something happens and the American people are left in the dark. Why, what is in the documents that could adversely affect the executive branch that we should not know about with a tranparent Gov. Yes... I fear there is something "nefarious". It does not serve my argument well. But, it does not serve the President well at all. The fact that the Bush admin. pulled the plug on an identical program in 2007 after finding out 500 weapons had crossed the border does not help. Under the fast and furious it is suspect that 1000 weapons crossed the border. I "suspect" there are memos that did reach people that are close to the president. Not saying the President had direct knowledge. I am saying the president "the person" would be adversly affected and therefore executive privilege was envoked. Again, the truth will come out eventually.Your assumption that something nefarious lies at the root serves you, nor your argument, well.
