When I had mine aligned for the second time in two weeks. The last place I went the owner told me he didn't need any specs. He said in a perfect world and roads they would do fine but with our east Texas roads they were useless. I have to say, my car drives smooth and straight with no abnormal tire wear. The first place had a computer they used ,the other just had Knowledge of how to do the job.

Jim , try this and see if it will help. If you can't get there this way , search. "My car can't be aligned "

Jim,

Look here:

http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... 14&t=17752

and here:

http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... 14&t=15662

The second link is where I posted the unladen alignment specs for a mid-year spider.

The search feature here works very well. These links also come up in a simple Google search "fiat spider alignment specs".

Try it and see.

Good luck with the alignment. I had to replace my idler first too. What a pleasure and relief once I finally got my front end strightened out.

I did my own alignment using 2 tape measures for years. As I recall I calculated the angle from the manual and it equated to just a hair short of an 1/8" tone-in. Set to that, i had no pull or drifting issues and would get 65k miles out of a set of tires. of course, the rest of the suspension has to be tight.
