VIN #

Trying to run the VIN # on my 1980 Spider carb and not getting results. Any sites that might handle an older vehicle such as this? VIN is 124CS20162327. May 1979 mfg. date.

Might be difficult. I tried with my '80 as well - with no success. The VIN system wasn't standardized until 1981 so most VIN search engines - at least any that I tried to find - only go back that far.

When I ran my VIN prior to purchase I found that the p.o. had been massively misinformed from his previous seller.

Deftone, my car is very close to yours in sequence. 124AS0011169. Only 2138 apart.

Thats pretty cool that our cars are so close together, I wonder if they were built in the same week? Same month? I wonder if there is anywhere to look for info on cars as old as ours?

Thanks 4uall. Looks to be obtained from State of New Hampshire registration information. The car has had a yellow re-spray at some point.
