if and this is a big if,because it in GM and FORD
you hooked up a power wire for the stereo to the auto dim wire THIS will give power to the light system

just a thought

so if you were under the center consloe or hooking up the stereo
recheck what you did

keep going

as i said before along time ago
you need a friend thats in love with the car to help you
and the hard part is timing the help with yours

Nope. Haven't wired anything else. I like to do one thing at a time. The only thing I did was hook up the hazard switch. BUT. I do have an idea and will go check it in a few minutes.

After much fighting and searching my lights are all resolved.

NOW! What kind of fastener is used to attach my console down by the footwell. Seems like a big hole. Is it like a giant sheet metal screw or a bolt??

I need to get this interior in so I can get it squared at the DMV and on the road!! Wooo!!!!! :D

Perfect. Will grab them tomorrow. And two big washers. And then something to screw near the brake as well as bolts to attach the top to the bottom. Amazing how long it takes to gather up missing bits.

Just a quick update. Hopefully a little time will open up to get some work done so I can get this thing out on the road!!

Ughhh... So I bought piles of screws and bolts to get this interior together. It's coming together slowly. But I'm having trouble with the driver's side kick panel with the speaker in it. My screw holes aren't lining up. They aren't just a little off. They are like .5" too high! What the heck!? Any thoughts? My carpet isn't all that thick. I did put a tiny bit of padding, but not .5"!

I just picked up my battery. I'm getting close. The negative cable is too small for the terminal. What's that all about? Maybe I need to stretch it out more? I don't know. Maybe I need a different cable. Didn't need any help with the positive. Also, the bolt is an 8mm on the negative whereas the positive is 10mm.... wonder if the PO replaced the negative but never used it...

So. Just about ready to get on the road. Just need to
  • modify upper console for new radio then install consoles
    put seats in
    put the shifter back together
bolt in the new exhaust center section
    put in a light bulb
    fill out paperwork
Then I think I can drive off. Oh... I should learn how to drive stick too.
