Vent windows questions
Vent windows questions
I got my vent windows for a retro fit to my '83 Azzura. Latches were bought too. I was wondering why so much vent windows are missing their latches? Is it because they brake easily or they come loose? The windows are in very good shape, but the gaskets are peeling off. Might sounds strange, but can I use the fixed glass gaskets? They are in perfect shape, replaced only a couple of years ago.

The glue fails and they fall off. When you glue these on, be sure the orientation is correct, they only turn ~90 degrees, so the base has to be clocked right.

Not if you want to open them.

Re: Vent windows questions
Mark sells 2-part epoxy that works perfectly on the latches. I bought some (less than $10.00) and haven't had any worries since.
