I am not a body work person but want to know the process to fix this fender. A long time ago the car rolled over a lost tire. It crushed the back part of the fender lip and the top part edge.
How would you tackle this repair?
So when I take it to a shop I know what they are talking about and what to ask. Estimate on price? I have a can of the paint used for the car at home.

the picture is too small to really see what you have. You need to look at the gap between the hood and the fender and the gap between the door and fender. If they are undisturbed then you have a pretty simple repair. Both locations are accessable from the backside so can be pounded out from the back. your paint does not look original and that is good. The original reds faded to an orange.
Need to see bigger hi-res pix looking down the fender from both the front and back.
Here is how i would do it. Take the car to 3 different shops. pick a high end shop. see who the porsche dealer or volvo dealer uses. pick a low end shop. In phoenix that would mean a shop down in the mexican part of town. usually this is a guy or 2 with a small shop and no paint booth. This covers the 2 ends. finally find a shop big enough to have a paint booth and a guy that does nothing but paint.
Never go to a dealer. they will either send it out and double the price or do it in house. seen some horrible work come from dealers.
You can also ask other car enthusiast. Go to a friday night parking lot car gathering. the regulars will know who the good paint and body guys are.

Re: Fender body work strategy
Here is another angle. Hope this helps visualize the damage.
The fender lines between hood and door are fine. No damage there. There was previous body work done on the fender as you can see the cracked filler on top.
On bumps, the tire scrapes against the inside wheel well. Mostly on the back part of it.

Looks like mostly dolly and hammer work to me. You will need to remove the fender liner if you have one and then work slowly from all directions toward the strees points of the dents.
