Door Glass Vertical Channel Felt <<< is that what it is called

I bought the window slider felt from them and it fit fine. Comes a little long and you can trim it to length with aircraft snips. Attaching it to the upper door panel piece is another challenge. I used split rivets, I think it takes 4 or 5, can't remember exactly. I set them by first spreading the tangs slightly and then setting the final set with a bigass vice grip. There is very little room to get into the channel with any tooling. This is probably confusing but it will be obvious what I am talking about when you get the door panel disassembled. It is very doable.

I may be confused... wouldn't be the first time! From your pic it looks like the piece that goes against the window on the inside? That has the felt, mine was so worn that it didn't look like there was any there. The outside rubber one I have not changed, so I cannot comment on that one.

No felt on the outside, just rubber. The inside has the felt! But I think Auto Ricambi carries both pieces. Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

it fine, i know the rubber on the outter is bad and asked about that, he showed me the inner which is felt, i will have to look and see if mine is ok on that part

Just my 2 cents, when the door panel comes off for any reason, it would be great to put the new felt on. I was amazed at the improvement in the looks of the door, makes it look brand new! Such a small thing and such a large effect.

Drill out the rivets. As Pete states, new felt makes a big difference; you can drive on chilly days with the windows up without rattles.

I bought "split rivets" from Ace Hardware up the street, set them by initially slightly spreading the tangs with a flat screwdriver while holding them in tight, then fully setting them flush with a large vice grip set to really put the pressure on. It worked fine. I couldn't find or see a way to get any kind of tooling into the foldover where the rivets are

If I remember correctly, the split rivet head went on the felt side and was buried in the felt so it is not visible after the split rivets were set, and I think there were 5 of them.
