Unfortunately New England winter salt atomized these poor cars. My friend had a Brava back in the day and used to tool around Boston on 2 wheels in that thing.

If you bought it from the original owner/s might be worth asking if the 1438cc engine is lying about anywhere ? Could be it went bang and hence the transplant but still worth asking. That way you have option to return to stock and therefore be worth more to a collector. Ditto the steel wheels and big hubcaps ?
The ACs that came here were not quite powerful enough at the top end and were faster in 4th than 5th as a result with mine (single twin throat) only managing about 100MPH in top with a wee bit more (but with more busyness) in 4th. My brother's BC 1608 (as factory with pair twin choke webers) always seemed to go better than the book said it should and he topped it out on open plains at 125MPH.
Value depends upon rarity. A good Spider is worth more here than a Coupe, simply because they were never imported to here and all that are here were private imports. Unfortunately a couple of dudes were importing cars from CA to resell here about 18-20 years ago and imported based on price / profit - They brought in some DOGS !

Yes I did inquire as to the original motor but it was gone as well as the wheels.

Re: 68 124 Sport coupe. How rare? Value?
I had 1969 1438 for 10 years in the UK. Brilliant car and is what got me hooked on these fiats. Main areas of rust seemed to be the wheel arches and under the chrome trim on back and front windows. Nightmare to get rid of,apart from cutting and replacing with new channeling. The screen is bonded in place with a 24v heated mastic system and chome strips held in place by riveted plastic clips, which is where the rot starts from. Bought the 1800 after that and kept it for another ten years.
Now I've got a 73 Spyder. I must have gone wrong somewhere in my life.
