Here are pics from the Millis Mass Cruise Night I just returned from. As usual, the only FIAT! Great bunch of people, always a lot of interest in the car. A PO who had a 1975 back in the day stopped by and chatted up for a while.

Rt. 109, Millis Mass, at Gold's Gym, for anybody nearby. Every Saturday night.

(FYI, the Pantera dash wood is Madrone Burl. Nice stuff!)

That yellow "Mustang" that showed up caused a few jaws to drop. It was basically a full blown funny car with a road legal plate. (Don't tell any MA RMV folks, they may get ideas.) Not sure how he got that but it was quite a machine. Very twitchy, we stood back when he moved it around. My friend Art came by with his '67 Shelby Mustang, fully restored (for the second time) but I was so busy yacking I forgot to take some pictures. It is quite sweet and he will be at Carlilse next week. It has been written up in the various mags twice. I will post pictures next time we get together.

I cant tell you how much that looks like the cruise-ins we have here in North Georgia!We get an unbelievable collection.I am usually the only 'furrin' car,but always have at least a few former Fiat owners or admirers stop by to chat.On the second page of your pics,there is a red rear engined car that I cant identify from the pictures.Lotus,maybe?? I am stumped on that one.Thanks for sharing the shots!

That is a Lotus, and one of the strangest creatures I have ever seen. A Rube Goldberg collection of extensive modifications, with a Toyota 1600 engine installed. Kind of ratty actually, but different.

Yes, I am usually one of 4 or 5 European cars (rarely any Japanese, an occassional Miata, never a FIAT) and there always seems to be a few former FIAT owners stopping by. Interesting that they almost never mention the new ones.

... I saw this Lotus Exige in the grocery store parking lot. Also has Toyota engine (1.8L).

That is one nice looking car! I gather that they regularly use Toyota engines then? The Lotus at Millis was a real contraption. Nothing in the engine compartment looked factory, oddball pipes wrangling all over the place, etc. but the owner loved it and was having a ball and God bless him, it's still America and for now we remain free to pursue our own courses! <{:^)
