Ebay prices and milage ?

Post by brad131a4 »

Has anybody else been check out the cars on evilbay lately. I went on last night and about laughed my ass off at some of the so called original milage cars. I think only one I would have believed as he was the original owner but just about everyone else was some story about buying it from some doctor or other that barely drove the car or something to that effect. Some of the prices were ok and some were just wtf did that come from . Am I just out of the loop or are people really starting to pay this kind of money for ok to fair shaped spiders?

The price range now 11 12k to still a few hundred for something that needs a lot of work
7 grand isnt a bad price for one in great condition . It's hard to believe Alfa Spiders have fallen
behind after years of being more expensive something pushed the value of Fiats up .
Fiats are still a good deal for a sporty Italian classic if your shopping for one .

Bandit, I know what started the Fiat prices to start rising. It happened the day I started THINKING about buying one! The same thing happens when I look for a mortgage on a house. The day the bottom will drop out of the Spider market is the day I start thinking about selling mine. Don't worry though, I'll give plenty of warning.

Slurping some SeaBest at Border's the other day (and you thought Fiat parts were expensive!) I'm thumbing thru the new issue of Hemming's. Of course we're prejudiced, but compared to other roadsters of the era, the Spider is still underpriced. Level 3 MGB: $14k. Healy 3000: $33k?

Oh i don't think they are expensive at all i think they are cheap to buy compared to other cars as well
i know what some classics go for and can't believe it ! Fiats are a great deal . I have a spider that is
paid for and is just for fun i love driving it and if i need to replace something most of the time the
parts are cheaper then what it would cost for my new Ford Truck . I would like to see most other
classics try to compete with that ...
