1980 Spider in Louisiana

Post by noKYspider »

Just wondering if there's anyone on the forum that lives near Monroe, LA. I'm interested in a car that's listed on eBay but it's almost a 13 hour drive from here so I can't just get down to check it out. Here is the info.

Being an 80 it could be either carb'd or FI, shame the seller doesn't say. The one Brad is selling is FI and sorted out by one of the most knowledgeable Fiat people around.
79 and 80 were the most performance challenged years due to the smog requirements, they got down to the mid 80s in HP. If you follow up on this car I'd find out if it's carb'd and if so has it been de-smogged.

I gotta agree with Ron and Mike.Who would you rather buy a car from than Brad? The 82 he has for sale looks like a deal to me1

These guys have a point, the one for sale here by Brad is certainly going to be in very good running condition, but personally I like red and the one on the ebay looks like it might be a really good car. Really good sign that he put in an aluminium radiator and new fan and such, means the cooling sys is likely to actually work

I'd call the guy and ask him if there's any rust and how it runs if you want. Hopefully someone near there could go look it over for you.
