Front Lower Valance Replacement?

Post by Landhawk »

Has anyone replaced the front lower valance?

The one on my car is pretty beat up, especially on the lower part of the valance (see below) and I was thinking it would be much easier to replace than repair.

However, I could only find one source of the panel:

Also, this panel doesn't appear to be bolted on, it looks more like its tack welded somehow. Thought I would ask here to see if anyone has any experience / suggestions with this area.

Thanks

Yes, that panel is welded in place. If it is not rusted thru, then just sand it, hammer it, fill it and paint it. Then get yourself a chin spoiler.

well put!!

mine was beat up "no rust"
the body guy grabed a set of dolly hammers and straightened it right out

sand it, stop the rust. seal it ,prime and fill with a bit of bondo,
sand again then ask if it needs replacement.
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)
