Show-car Shine

Post by Italchic »

After having been out of storage for a few days, I decided today to give the exterior the 3-step program: step 1. Turtle Wax scratch and swirl remover, step 2. Mothers Seal and glaze, step 3. Maguires caranauba wax, all by hand. The finish looks absolutely liquid. The paint code is #162 looks maroon to me.

get a digital pic copy it to your pics(i put it on my desktop temp for easy picking)
i use photobucket "upload it there"save to my albums and hover over the pic a box will drop(or rase)from the pic
click the IMG code it will say "copyed"
come back here and in a post right click and paste
it should alredy have the IMG tags on the ends

Your car looks beautiful! Just remember that there is a size limit so you have to make the pics smaller to have all of it show on the forum page.

here is a idea for you. after all that work washing and waxing for hours.you want your baby to look its best everyday with out a lot more work.just before you close the garage door dust it off with a car duster. than wipe your car down with furniture polish and a micro fiber towel just to get the days dust off. takes about 15 mins but it will look great every morning when you pull your baby out and it will look like you just washed it. oh and your car looks great !

or you can right click and show image in a new tab, your browser will correct the sizing whereas this site doesn't

That looks really nice. How well did the swirl remover work? I clay bar and waxed yesterday, but there's tons of swirl marks I'd like to try that stuff if you had good experience.

My resizing trick works pretty easily. I just email to myself the photo, using AOL. When AOL asks if I want to optimize the pic to fit into the body of the email, I answer yes, and it comes through perfectly. Then I right click on the received "optimized" pic, save it as the same file name, with "small" tacked onto the end, and use that. I am getting pretty quick at it, only takes a minute or two overall, even including putting the pic onto photobucket.com. And I agree completely that posting pics on the Forum is a PITA, but at least we can do it.
