Paper Label: What and Where?

Post by dantye »

Unidentified paper label. Just laying loose in car - I forget where.
Should it be on the car or is it just production junk?

OK, I revised the original post - sorry I forgot to include the picture.

(Election day jitters? - I doubt it.)

No, just Marlboros that burned a number of holes in the seats. THREE REALLY BAD IDEAS:

1. Smoking while pumping gas.
2. Smoking in a convertible.
3. Not posting the photo and expecting folks to see it anyway!

I've never seen one of those before and I would hang on to it.

OK then, here's mine:

Image
124BS.1.140 by opus10583, on Flickr

I found this the last time I had the radio console out of my 7/77-build '78 CS1, it just fluttered down as I organized the snakes nest.

I found a dead end reference in another forum and posted about it here shortly after finding it; to no end.

Here's my theory: The only structural body/chassis change among the various 124 Spider series is in the rear end attachment points from AS to BS, all of the BS through DS distinctions are equipment* and trim specifications, with discrete valence panel variation from blade to tube bumpers.

Therefore, all FIAT 124 chassis produced after the change from torque tube were internally coded 124BS.1.140 at Pininfarina.

...Mine cracked, I kid you not, when it hit the floor after getting blown off my ~3' desk.

*The CSA's were modified post-hoc for the IRS and roll bars.
