RRroller123, yes according to Wikipedia the song was a live staple for the who. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_the_Spider for more interesting facts. My wife thinks the car should have an Italian name, but I like Boris.

Re: Your Day Job:
Hi all, this is a very interesting thread.
I'm a Quality & Assurance Food Safety officer working in the private sector.
I specialize in Cook / Chill production processes, smallgoods manufacturing, supplier and raw material conformity.
On Friday and some Saturday nights I work as a cook at the local pizzaria just to make a little bit of dough to keep my Fiat addiction afloat.
In my previous life (late 80's - 1990's) I was a partner in a couple Fiat, Alfa and Lancia spare parts outlets one of which incorporated auto dismantling and mechanical repairs.

R E T I R E D!!! So thanks to all of you USA taxpayers for keeping those Social Security Checks coming!
Oh, I still manage a couple of commercial Web Sites, do a lot of volunteer geek work, and since I own a Fiat Spider, I will NEVER run out of things to do.

Re: Your Day Job:
Ceiling. Ive done all kinds of cool ceilings and custom wall panels in the last 29 years. Installed all the ceilings at the top of the staples center, 160 feet up. Did the Disney concert hall and some rides at Disney land too. Worked on the new Cars land at Disney land, dont think its open yet. But its gonna be pretty neat. Done a bunch of heavy metal ceilings in some jails so convicts cant access them.

This is the company I work for: http://www.wje.com/ Architects, Engineers, and Material Scientists who find solutions to some of the most challenging problems in buildings, structures, and building materials. We are the Architect's Architect, the Engineer's Engineer, when they have problems, they come to us.
The guys that were inspecting the Washington Monument for cracks, that was us. The team who investigated the I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis, that was us. The Kansas City Hyatt Regency walkway collapse in the 80's, that was us. The stem to stern review of the Boston Big Dig tunnels, that was us.
We are most known for forensic analysis and causal determination following structural failures, however our services are wide ranging. We have been instrumental in implementation and revision of many ASTM standards and provide unbiased product testing for manufactures such as HILTI and Simpson Strong Tie. Construction observation, design peer review, litigation support, expert witness testimony, etc. etc.
Some days I'm hanging off a scaffolding 40 stories in the air inspecting concrete, others I may be inspecting quality control for roof membrane installations. Some days I'm simulating rain events to test the performance of installed window or curtain wall systems. And some days I sit in the office writing technical reports of what I saw in the field or describing how we tested some building component, how it failed, and how to fix it.
It's a lot of fun.

Re: Your Day Job:
The white grid stuff is actually white grid. Its not for insulation. There is none in this install, and thats a first for me anyway. The wood panels get screwed to the grid. Normally on an install like this the grid is black. It just looks better that way.

I still say after reading this thread all of the worlds problems could be solved by Fiat owners on this site, WOW
