I'd like to offer up Arizona as a location, too! Flagstaff, Phoenix area (Firebird Raceway!!! Barrett-Jackson Auctions in January!), and of course Tucson! Spring and Fall would definitely be the seasons. Summer is a bit too hot unless you're in Flagstaff. Another option is Albuquerque or Santa Fe. Wherever the location this side of the Mississippi I'll make it a point to be there!

Denver does sound more interesting than the 50 mile jaunt to Tooele. But I don't currently trust my fiat to make it to Denver. Either way some work is in order before summertime.

Okay so how do we begin? I'd be willing to help with this but have absolutely no experience with car meets.

I have some experience, but a pretty full plate right now, so i don't want to spearhead it. But if you're willing, I'll help.

first thing we need to do is determine an objective. Are we looking for fiat only? or all italian? And do we want to meet somewhere for a day? or a weekend? A cruise? or a track-activity? or some of everything?

Personally, when I made the inquiry, I was envisioning an event that looked something like this:

Open to all Italian cars, and maybe Italian bikes too?
Maybe start the weekend with a Saturday run up one of the mountain canyons. We'd meet for coffee at a local hang-out, run up the canyon and then lunch at a cafe near the lake, or other interesting feature. Then for interested parties, maybe catch an old-skool drive-in movie with our cars in the evening?

and then a Sunday track-day at Miller Motorsports Park. We could have a car-show in the paddock area. there could possibly be an Auto-cross course as well. and we could all throw-down in the go-karts also located there for trophies to take home. they've also got the Shelby Museum on site. I'm seeing it as a destination-event. A place families could come out and hang-out. an event that people would want to come watch, share the scenery, etc.

Of course, this could change-up. and there are tracks out in your neck of the woods as well.

I have contacts if we do it out here. Less so if we do it out there, but we could find the folks we need.

It's possible we could eventually find a promoter who would be interested in promoting it annually, in exchange for selling sponsorships and etc. But that'd be down the road probably. Until that happens, we'd probably want to find a sponsor or two to pickup associated costs. I can help with that too.
