Rear Axle removal

Post by Dianespider »

I have everything brake related removed, including the backing plate, I have tried three sets of lock ring/snap ring pliers and they simply bend before the ring is compressed enough to come out......... the ones I have are from Orielly's and Advance auto parts and are cheap junk........ can someone tell me where to get a set that will work?????

 :?: :x :?:

Hmm, I don't even own lock ring/snap ring pliers. I always get it done with small screw drivers and a hammer if it has to be :)

I use 90 degree needlenose pliers and a long skinny screwdriver.
The snapring pliers most stores sell are absolute junk, to get a good one you have to get one off a tool truck (Mac, Matco, Snap-on, etc).
