Now that looks good (IMHO)! Raise the lisence plate, put on the older split chrome bumpers, some badging, and I think we may have Pinnin's original design (before cost and 60's practicality had to take over).pope wrote:Introducing the Rondine Spider. Re: check out these tail lights
Wow, more pictures of the grey/blue one. Dual tipped dual exhaust?? That's the custom bat mobile/Alfa dash you had last year. Any interior pix?
Re: check out these tail lights
Yes more interrior pics of that dash, and console??? Are the rear lights Corvair???
Re: check out these tail lights
Hey,
Have seen the silver one before and was wondering, what rear bumper is that? It looks like a front bumper, but not as round. Does anyone know what rear bumper that is?
That is the car that extended the front end, because I think there was more room between the wheel and the door.
Very cool and great color.

Re: check out these tail lights
There is so much going on with this car, it's hard to remember it all. He said it took something like 10 cars to put it together. The quad dual carbs are for air intake only, custom fabbed progressive linkage. It took 4 front fenders to add 7" to the length. At the rear he raised the top of the rear fenders, so the rear deck is pretty much straight accross, the panel between the tail lights (corvette btw) is taller. The side scoops up front are functional. The drive train is Ford. Notice the blue oval "Ford" symbol on the rear side, it says Fiat in the same script as Ford. Get it? Fiat Spider, Ford power train. I can't remember the tranny type, but it's not from a Pinto (Sorry Alberto)- 4:11(I think he said) rear end. He built a frame chassis under it all. The rear tonneau was fabbed from a car roof and padded-upholstered. He milled all the custom engine parts himself, including the valve covers (from a solid block of aluminum). There's no way I can remember it all, you could look at this car for hours and keep finding details, and every detail is awesome. It just blew me away!
I hope someone has interior pics, I can't believe I didn't get any.

no, it's not mine. All of the pics I have of it are posted on this thread. I can send them to you via attachments. I think he's bringing it to the get-together next weekend. If it's there I'll get more pics

Hi Mark
If you get more pictures of the grey car, can you bend down to take shots of the car in a straight on panel view (sides, front, back)? The other shots you took look like "Land of the Giants" views or government spy satelite shots. We cant help that our precious little spiders are only 2 feet tall. LOL.
Thanks buddy

yeah, I've been going for the odd angles! Maybe I'll change my user name to Picasso, lol. It seems there are always obstacles to shoot around. On Sat the car was backed up to a hedge, hence the satelite shot.
