Hey folks,
Im moving house in the next few weeks, unfortunatly my project '69 has no front suspension at all, Im currently working overseas so wont really have time to buy and fit a full front suspension before I move, what is the best way to get the car onto the trailer? Could I just bolt the A-arms on and have the springs sitting in place? would that that be safe to get it rolled onto the trailer?

If your A-arms have hubs mounted so that you can put tires on that should be go to go.

This probely don't help much but if you have access to a front end loader that would be the easiest and fastest way.

If the ramps are solid, perhaps a couple of skateboard type afairs and some sturdy planks the front could rest on and push/pull it up. I've had to do something similar in the past, but had some bigger castor type wheels mounted on a board and had that under the front end missing the wheel/ hub ect.

I considered something like this, but I was worried it would be too difficult to get onto the ramp up to my trailer.narfire wrote:If the ramps are solid, perhaps a couple of skateboard type afairs and some sturdy planks the front could rest on and push/pull it up. The formal name is for the contraption is Wheel dolly. They have them at harbor freight of eastwood, but you can make your own to fit your situation since the wheels are off.
