124 I was wondering if that would be fine. Just wasn't sure if it would hold up to heat.

Well. Then I have some. Looks like it was about an 1" thick and got compressed in the compartment.

DocGraphics wrote:Exit98, how would you compare the fabric/quality of the carpet set you got to the indoor/outdoor cornrow carpet from like Home Depot.
Hey Doc,

The stuff I got isn't cornrow, it is smooth and pretty cheap. I haven't looked at the home depot stuff but the cornrow is more stock like and will surely be more durable.

I spent a lot of time on this project and want the Spider back on the road. I've got a lot of stuff done and it is time to drive. This rug will work out fine for now and I didn't have to cut it out and find some way to get it bound. I'll put better carpet in some future time, and when I do I won't have to worry about rust and insulation.

Ha ha . I'm in the same situation. The floor pan and under the cowl will be nice and tidy soon. I need to weld back on some flaps for my rockers and then I'm just going to clean and seal everything. Will probably be a spotted car for now. But I want to drive it. I'm changing the interior over to black, but that will need to wait too! I'm just going to put the tan back in. I know it's not too hard to take apart now, so I'm going to get it driving so I can enjoy it while I save up for other things. My tan carpet is in great shape. Just dirty and stained and not black...

Similar with me, Jimmy. After having all the body work done, my "paint" is now a mottled, spotty pink-ish faded red primer. I have the side marker lights, headlight trim, mirrors (and soon) the rear light housings off. I have no upper/lower console, no carpet and only one seat! But she drives like a new car, handles like it's on a track and purrs like a kitten. I LOVE driving it again. It's like deja vu all over again when I first brought her home from the dealer in the Summer of '78!

Exit98- Approximately how many square feet of insulation did you use on the interior?

I'm not sure what that means. I wasn't trying to insult you. I'm pretty happy if it only takes 16. I'm just surprised!
