I like this solutin for fuel filter position (at begining of fuel feed line). I think it will work fine in my case. I have 71 spider that has a mechanical fuel pump, and carburator. Fuel quality in my cuontry is very bad, so I have to use this filter for shore, and this position is ok, cause there is no need for getting dirt in fuel feed line - filter stop it before. Also tank position (in trunk) makes fuel filter reachable for changing.

Well I thought that I would give it another shot. Plan was to pull drive train , clean it up and replace a few parts. Paint engine bay and reinstall. Pulled drive line this mornin. Tore out all carpet and found more rust then I had figured. So this is now just a parts car. Stripped most of it down today. All suspension and interior are now off.
