Amazing Asking Price

Post by sjmst »

Am I missing something here? 1982 Spider. Check it out. Incorrect wheels, claim of leather interior, but looks like vinyl, crack in dash, damaged front spoiler, dirty engine...16,500!!!?
If he gets that, I am selling mine!

"An absolutely exceptional and stunning example of this original southern California 1982 Fiat Spider 2000 ...exceptional condition with only very minor imperfections noticeable upon very close inspection, ... The leather seats are also in exceptional and lovely original condition and the interior is quite stunning throughout apart from a very minor small crack or two in the dashboard ..."

I've been watching this car, hoping they get asking price to I could say to my wife "see, I told you the Fiat was a great deal!"

The fact that it's already at $4,600 with 8 bids and still has 5 days to go is actually encouraging. Otherwise, I would've thought this guy was high. Maybe I got in at the right time.

Maybe the seller thinks they're intitled to get the amount of money
they put into it or maybe the amount they owe someone else.
Sad, really. Some people just fool themselves about the value of things.
For instance, I wouldn't trade my Spider for a million bucks! I'm far
too emotionally attached! Besides, swap the apple of my eye for
cash-forget it! It's only money! (yes, I tell myself that everytime
she goes into the shop!) It's either that or rehab- may as well be
the car!
