Dash Lights not working

I replaced bulbs and fuses dash lights still do not work. Any Ideas?

the reostat in the dash
was it unpluged?
or mabey its dirty

but first thing is check the grounds
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

I had that problem, I bypassed the reostat, problem solved. I don't need to dim the dash lights, their fine full on.

Good idea. I think I will bypass the Rheo too, it is completely unnecessary. Just another potential failure point.

Yep, same problem here. No dash lights except for headlight and high-beam indicators. Traced it to the dimmer, bypassed the dimmer, now I have nice illumination. They are not overly bright anyway, so I'm going to leave it.

How do I get to the reostat? Throught the dash behind the gauges?

I pulled the upper consoled, the one with the radio in it. I just took the screws out, and tipped it forward. You can remove the switch to make it easier to work on and then once you bypass the switch, put the switch back in the hole.
