hood liner for 84 fiat spider

Can't find a hood liner so I'm making my own from a roll of insulation i bought at Pep boys. It has foil on one side and black insulation on the other. I will also use for my floor insulation under my carpeting. Does the foil face out or in for the hood liner? Same question for the floor?

so down under the hood
and up on the floor

i seen on here people have the foil out so it can be seen
mostly stick back protecto wrap is thin
and dynamat is a bit thicker

tape seams with foil tape
this way it will hold water
