Removal and installing emblems

Post by g13815001 »

Does anyone know how to remove and install hood and trunk "Fiat" emblems for a 1975 Fiat Spider? I am not sure if it is glued on. I haven't really checked yet but I want to do some research first before I attempt to remove and install them. Pictures or a video would be great. Thanks.

you need a 90 degree hook
push the pins out from the back side
when you do everything correct people arent sure youve done anything at all (futurama)

Early style bronze wreath badges don't push in, they have tiny little nut-washer hardware on the inside of the hood or trunk that will easily snap off if not treated gently.

Getting the nut type hood emblem on is a PITA. I ended up using a little Blue tape to hold the washer and nut combo on the end of a nut driver socket, which worked pretty well. Blue tape stayed on the driver when withdrawn. Doesn't grab the washer/nut combo strongly enough to be a problem. Can't get your hands in there to hold things in place while threading it on.
