abarth spider?
abarth spider?
just out of curiosity, does anyone know what engine upgrades were in the abarth compared to the regular 124 spider? And anyone know what hp and torque it had?
Re: abarth spider?
It was a completely different engine and actually a completely different car. The only thing that MAY have been the same was the bare block.
This is from an article in AutoItalia that came out sept. 2002.
"There were basically three types of rally version 124 Abarth. The first used in 1973 had the 165bhp, 1,760cc engine, then came the 170bhp, 1,840cc version used from the start of the 1974 season. And at the start of the 1975 season 16 instead of eight-valve engines were used, and late in the season the team had a 210bhp fuel injection 16-valve version still with 1840cc."
