Oil leak

I have oil dripping from the tin plate at the front of the gearbox housing, and it seems a trail coming from the hole the clutch fork protudes from down to the flat surface front of gearbox. I am pretty sure this will be the rear main seal, but thought I would throw this out there to see what others think. The oil actually drips from the flat surface just rear of that plate. I wondered if there is anywhere else this may come from, although I doubt it.

ya it probably the rear main seal

take a good slow walk around the car and then look inside as well, if the word Fiat appears anywhere then that's the issue

Interestingly....I have seen far, far more oil leaks associated with British sports cars and sedans than any other brand. Fiat has just a nice mix of everything.

BTW since your in there :shock:might as well
replace the thow out berring and front and rear seals in the tranz
how old is your giblio?might as well if you dont know
and as long as its apart the pinoin seal
and what the heck hows your clutch cable on the pedal end?
