79 spider help in pa

i have a 79 spider 2000 runs great as long as you dont try to let it idle i have found 2 more spiders right here in york for like 400 bucks havent went to look at them yet but anyhow this spider was running great before the previous owner had parked it in a garage where it has sat for over a year this thing runs like a champ over 1500 under that it just misses like crazy im thinkin a new carb cause you really have to pump it to start it to but it is plated state inspected and ready to roll need to figure out this idle issue tho any help would be greatly appreciated

if it sat for a year you could tune it if its carbed loosen mixture screw a few turns then back in the same DONT TIGHTEN all the way "2 turns out"
you also could have bad fuel lines
