Thanks Gopher.

I have found so much info here too that I will document everything I do to add to the available knowledge within this forum.
Heck half of the things I have done were from or inspired from information I found right here.

Glad your aboard & getting another one back up to snuff & out there to be seen & enjoyed.
Keep us all posted with your progress.

The factory drain holes are a "V" cut in the floor pointing towards the back of the car, then bent down & then bent back so that the opening is to the rear that water can drain out yet the leading edge is where the metal is bent down thus blocking water from splashing in from the front.

Here's a quick diagram

As for water getting in from the drain holes I choose not to drive in the rain, unless caught in it (only once) HaHa
but the way the factory cut & bent the drain holes seems like it would not allow much in.

The membrane I used was "protecto-wrap" from Home Depot, it's made to seal around windows & doors in home construction.
It's a 1/16" thick super sticky rubber membrane w/ a plastic backing, comes in a 4" X 50' roll for like $14.
Was enough to do both footwells with left overs, I made it go up all the sides a couple inches too for a "bathtub" effect.

I was removing the sound deadning and finally found one so I though I would post a photo

Here's a couple pieces of bling I picked up lately

Image

The Abarth scorpion is chrome plastic but nice & the Spider is alum. w/ a chrome finish, beautiful. Each are about 3" tall.
Was thinking I would put the Abarth scorpion on the back but after getting the spider, it's so nice, I think I'l put one of them on the back & one on each front fender & maybe one on the glove box & save the Abarth scorpion for later.
I am a Scorpio so the scorpion WILL go somewhere!

Didn't notice myself till I opened it but whats wrong with the Abarth scorpion????

Bumperettes bought!!!!

Won off evilbay out of Germany will be here in like a month....patience Don patience...
They are fiberglass & have the tubes for mounting the the stock holes molded into the back of them.

This is just the start of this springs projects, I have quite a list of things to buy/do before driving season really hits.
We're still below freezing every night so it will be a while before the wrenches actually start turning, but taxes are back so let the buying commence!

Ordered a new 32/36 DFEV today. Paired with the 4-2-1 exhaust I picked up this winter & stripping all the emissions should give my little girl a little more spunk!
Also have an electronic ignition set-up coming too (thanks George) & will be replacing all the belts & hoses too.

Come on warmer weather!

I'm jealous. I don't think I'll be getting any upgrades like that for a while. I just need to get my body squared away and my interior so I can start her up.
