I lost my Sheltie, Rocky, to cancer when he was much too young, and it is still very painful. But a big part of my personal faith is the belief that when we die, we get all our pets back. My sincere sympathies for your loss.

When I get home from work at some ungodly hour of the night, I am always greeted by my dog. She doesn't care that it's 230am, she's happy I'm home and wants to play. She's also my faithful running buddy and sometimes fiat driving companion. I can't imagine how I could explain to my kids if something like this happened to her.

My sympathies for your loss.

RRoller123, I have thought about that many times the last 11 days and we can only hope we will see them again. I have been told that animals have no soul but they never new malcolm. He was my best friend. Tony, I hope you never have to tell your children thier dog was killed. It has been HELL around here. My daughter is the one that found him and that will be with her forever. She stayed by his side until he went in for surgery but he stopped breathing before they started. He spent all day with me when I was off work and always seemed like the only one that was glad to see me when I got home. I work shift work and he was the only one that could keep up with my schedule.
