Hmmmph. Not far from our old apartment when we lived there when we were at college. Wish we could meet up with you.
Perhaps you could check in with Hals family, he lived nearby. If you are there...

Re: Baltobernie in Pasadena, CA
I wish I could have made it Bernie, I was driving my truck back from a week in Ventura, working, just as you guys were sitting down. Sorry I missed you.

Bernie's doing great, we had a nice little reunion at dinner (Gary, Bernie, myself), and took a moment to honor Hal, our good buddy who passed away last summer. We talked Fiats, families, cats, and anything else that came to mind. I plan to meet Bernie on July 4 in Washington, DC -- more about that later.

Re: Baltobernie in Pasadena, CA
Thanks for the great time, guys. Always fun catching up in person. Wasn't that waiter a hoot?!
Every Spider owner needs to see Gary's 1969 car at least once in their lifetime, to remind us of the difference between "original" and "restored". It even has the license plate frame from the selling dealer!
Thanks, Alvon, for the opportunity to drive your Borla-equipped Nuevo. I thought we'd be needing your considerable charm when we passed that lights-out cruiser working radar down the hill "Better to be lucky than smart" as my boss used to say ...

Re: Baltobernie in Pasadena, CA
It was great seeing Bernie last night and sharing in person the knowledge base with him and Alvon. As for my car, my dad bought it new in 1968 (still registered in his name) it's really neither original nor has it been restored - but it's been maintained and updated as needed and now has almost 280,000 miles. It's patchwork painted from the doors back over the years and the original engine was replaced in 1980 with a junkyard find which hasn't been touched in over 150,000 miles. Thanks for the kind words Bernie!!
