superbowl commercial

Post by DocGraphics »

Yes! The Abarth commercial w/ the hot Italian chick made the superbowl!(3rd quarter)
I'm glad they went with that commercial & not one of the Jlo ones.

Here's a link for any of you that haven't seen it.

I read that in todays paper, I was bouncing back and forth on the channels so I might have missed it. However in Canada, the comercials are usually different anyway

On the way into the office this morning, they were talking about it on the Walton & Johnson Radio Show. They did not have good things to say about the commercial or the car. Some guy called in defending Fiat and saying how nice the Abarth 500 was but they pretty much shut him down. :(

translation for those of us that don' speak Italian

"What are you looking at? Uh!?

What are you looking at?! (slap)

Are you undressing me with your eyes?

Poor guy…you can't help it?

Is your heart beating? Is your head spinning?

Do you feel lost thinking that I could be yours forever?

The guys from that radio show sound like rednecks.

The reaction during the game was very gender based. Six guys in the room loved the commercial and said that is was great!! Very strong and way to go FIAT! The two 15 year olds turned to me and said that the car was cool and they never realize how cool FIAT is. However, a few of the ladies in the room did not appreciate the DVR re-play. There was just no way of explaining car lust at that point of time. I think that commercial is exactly what FIAT needed. 8)

regular Fiat 500 + JLO ads= targeting women as most likely potential buyers. Most Fiat guys weren't crazy about these ads.

Abarth seduction ad + Abarth 500 = targeting many guys who who think the regular 500 is a chick car but could own a 500 Abarth no problem.

I've heard rave reviews of the commercial from my friends. Of course they're all guys. I wonder if the women that are offended are the same ones that are jealous of the guys spending all their timing mooning over their Italian cars?

I didn't watch the game, and would've completely missed the commercial except for this link.

Now, I'm in the process of selling my Civic to replace it with a 500 Abarth. The ad worked! (and my wife loved the ad too, and loves the Abarth).

I am not in the market for a new car right now, but if I was , I would be wanting to test drive the Abarth 500 for sure. looks like it will be a lot of fun to drive.

I'd love to get one as well, but not really practical for my needs. The VW Golf is too small.

Same here... my daughter is 14 now and we plan on getting one... the idea is for my wife and me to use it until it is time to hand it over to our daughter... At least that is the plan

What car? There was a car in that commercial? I did see a foamy cup of Ralphs girly coffee (NJFIATS JOKE) and a scorpion tattoo. Where was the car? :D
