Original sticker decals

Post by ConoSpider »

Hi,

Calling all Pininfarina Spider Europa 1983 owners. I need a clear picture of 3 stickers with the exact measurement:

1st Sticker: Vehicle Emission Control Information Update Label (white sticker with blue script affixed on the cowl in the middle).
2nd: F.M.V Safety Standard 110 Tag (located on right door pillar, contains tire date and car capacity).
3rd: Vehicle Emission Control information Label (located on left door pillar, white sticker, black script, says "catalyst")

I am also missing hood lining, anyone know who can supply the original. It's the one piece molded one.

Thanx for the reply.

I already took a look at Fiat plus, they have stickers but not the ones I am looking for. Do you know of any other websites?

If anyone as the same car as me (see original post) and they can take a picture of the stickers I am looking for, along with the measurements I would be able to reproduce them.

How would you reproduce them? I have been thinking about this myself and I was wondering if we could use one of those bumper sticker printing software packages on a home laser printer? Would just need a good image file, probably at least 600dpi minimum. Has anyone tried printing their own repro stickers? Image files available from anyone? Also, I am sure that http://www.vistaprint.com could do an admirable job too. I use them for business cards and they are fantastic.

I've never found any vendor that has the engine compartment emission control FI sticker. Besides, they vary between years and models ... some are 50 state and some are California, some are blue, some varying shades of green. I've taken photos and made up my own using Microsoft Publisher, saving them as image files and printing. Some of the files for my '82 are here in a set on Flickr.

I print them on an inkjet printer using a paper I get from http://www.thecraftypc.com called Water Resistant Glossy Adhesive-Backed paper. They look good in the car ...

... and are resistant to smearing and staining. If they do, I just print up another.
If anyone has Publisher, I'd be glad to share the files so you could customize a sticker for your car.

Thanks for the pictures, they look great. The thing is, my car has Canadian specs, even the drawing on the right side of the sticker is different (See picture)http://www.flickr.com/photos/76085253@N ... /lightbox/. Would you happen to know if the information is the same between US and Canadian specs.

Thanks again.

Like I said, the stickers vary even between cars of the same year, much less between US and Canada. Probably why no vendor does this ... they'd have to print up dozens of different stickers.
I have a collection of sticker photos and this was the first one I did before I realized that the right-side drawings were all different. It's for an '84 US 50-state car and from what I can tell, the drawing is the same as yours. Your picture isn't clear enough for me to compare the specs, but if you can get me a real good close-up of your sticker, I can plug your data into my Publisher template and post a JPG on Flickr for you to print.

Hi,

Is there anyone that can send me a picture of the following http://www.flickr.com/photos/76085253@N03/6936927451/ with the exact measures, and for a Pininfarina Spider 1983.

My picture is not clear and is missing info.

From the picture you had posted, I did some modifications with the specs I needed. http://www.flickr.com/photos/76085253@N ... /lightbox/

The only thing I need is the actual measurements of the sticker, if you can send it to me, so I can reproduce it.

Thanks.
