Removing plastic strip

Does anyone know how to remove that plastic strip right next to the windshield wipers? I have that cowl off the car but I can't seem to be able to get at it. I see the three goo dobs or whatever holding that angle peice on. If I take that off, how do I get it back on? Can I even take it off?

Are you talking about the black plastic piece right above the wiper mechanisim?
If so, you'll see a couple of plastic screws that are usually covered in that black sticky goo. Those screw out, backing away from the vent cowels. The plasitc is in two pieces joined by a steel clip.

AHHHH, Thanks. I will look closter at that GOO stuff to find the screw you mentioned.

Be real careful working off those rubber screws. They are easily torn. I soaked all in armor all and then slowly worked them off. It is the craziest method I have ever seen to hold 2 simple pieces of plastic grating down. But hey that's why we love these cars. Quirky in places!
