Connector wire RESOLVED

Post by 4uall »

As always there are people who know more than I. This being the case, I ask you all "what is the wire called that attaches to this sensor in the coolant t outlet?" I need to repair it before it breaks or becomes detached

that is the temp sensor for the FI and it's a critical part of the system. You can buy a pigtail that has a new connector and about 6" of wire. I'd suggest you solder and heat shrink the splices rather than using crimp style connectors

thanks Mark, the sensor I was aware of it was actually the connector itself I was curious about. I was not able to find it exactly as I did not know what it is called.

The best fix is to get a pigtail for a BMW. Those have a retaining clip that is springloaded and very easy to remove compared to the style that Fiat used. I carry them as well as the original style if you can't find one anywhere else

"fuel injection connector" or "Bosch style connector" or "fuel injection electrical plug" etc.

All Fiat parts vendors carry them.
