This ad stands out. It says "Italian" or European/sexy. I beg to differ on the "performance" shot stuff. I think just a splash of it at the end is plenty. I mean, how many ultimately unmemorable car ads do you want to sit through where they close off some gorgeous California road and, with a professional driver, shoot "car brand _____________ (fill in car name here)" through some gorgeous, sweeping twisties as the rev's roar and the landscape glows in beautiful light....? Boooooring - and in the end, makes all those performance cars melt together into sameness.
This car is different from what we see everywhere around us. It stands out. The ad for the car needs to stand out, too.
As to the Super Bowl, I'm also pretty sure there will be no lack of much more "inappropriate" images and messages aired during the game.
