Re: My Second Fiat - The Runner
Well, the mounting points for the dash are different... not all of the bolt studs align with the brackets in the car... I will have to make some brackets to attach the dash...
On another note, all wiring seems to be working, no smoke, no smell of melted plastic, no fire... at least, so far. Dash clock is working!
Forgot the photo... work in progress...

Re: My Second Fiat - The Runner
Also, the veneer on the dash adds a small amount of thickness to the dash that makes it a challenge to snap in place all the '83 switches. So there is some work involved to get those to go in and sit correctly with poping out. I still think it is worth the extra effort.

Re: My Second Fiat - The Runner
Thank you guys.
A few more photos
Steering wheel rack cover installed. Offending wires were tucked away after I saw them in the photo
Maybe I should have not used the flash on this one... wow! Looks dirty as heck. Anyway, I will try to clean it with a damp cloth. Looked OK when I was installing it...
No matter how hard I tried, still managed to get a few scratches on the dash, arghhh @#%@#$%$#
Yeah, you can tell I like how the clock came out and how it looks in the center console.

Starting them young is my motto too. Here's family night at the Burchette house:
1972 124 Spider (Don)
1971 124 Spider (Juan)
1986 Bertone X19 (Blue)
1978 124 Spider Lemons racer
1974 X19 SCCA racer (Paul)
2012 500 Prima Edizione #19 (Mini Rossa)
Ever changing count of parts cars....It's a disease!

Bleeding the brakes
I use ATE Blue to make it easy to see the new fluid when it came out... but even normal brake fluid would have been easy to detect as the one in the car was very dark in color... I hope the brakes work better now. Here is a photo of the old fluid as it is coming out:

Re: My Second Fiat - The Runner
Changed the differential oil, and the transmission oil. Retorqued the bolts to the oil pan.
I will go back and clean all under the car when I get ready to coat with POR15...
For the differential:
I was also missing two bolts in the front spoiler, installed those...
Also fixed the rust...
Just kidding of course, that is only to hold the liquid metal while it dries. The hole was not that big so instead of cutting the area and welding a new patch I just cut a bit more around the rusted area and poured some liquid metal (same one used on the engine block, might as well use it all before it dries in the can).
Took it out for a drive and the brake pedal is 100x better.
Now to the inside to work on the rear section of the wire harness to get the rear lights and the fuel guage working again. I want to drive it to work

Re: My Second Fiat - The Runner
Got an email asking about where I got the mirror... Sorry for not replying but if you email from the site it just does not provide a reply to email address... best to send me PM or email me directly at wachuko@yahoo.com.wachuko wrote:...As to the side mirror, I ordered one like this... let's see what it looks like once it gets here:
Exterior wing mirror: die-cast chrome arm/bright stainless steel head; including mounting gasket and fixing bolt. This beautifully crafted "Ital" style or Italian style mirror has a 115mm round head with convex mirror, 90mm x 30mm base incl. Gasket and is fixed by a single 6mm bolt and a 5mm location pin, 28mm apart. Not Handed.
Anyway, got the mirror from a site in the UK:
