I don't kow the car personally, but I am pretty sure I have seen it at past Best of France and Italy car shows in Los Angeles. You may want to contact Merkel Weis at merkelweiss@aol.com, the organizer of this show, and see if he knows who the owner is. Good luck.

be carefull last time I ask that question about a car I was interesed in some out bid me in less than 5 min. and i never won the car.

Those are not 1979 door handles unless Fiat changed them mid year. I had a 79 that had the final generation handles. It looks like the car has had a lot of custom stuff done to it though. Could be he replaced the doors with doors from an older model. What year did they go to the bullet shaped pulls?

Thanks for the replies, they switched the handles for the 2000, I like the older ones better

Vandor is right, I've got a mid year 78 1800 with late handles, late rear end and late convertible top frame
