Storin? We don need no stinkin storin!!

Gee I don't feel jealous at all? Of course it was about 3 degrees warmer over here in Aiken, SC then you have over in Atlanta. :D Luigi is racking up the miles and I'm racking up the smiles. This is our time of year, heat on in the morning, smile on all day and top down for the foreseeable future. We are seeing about mid forties in the morning and lots of upper sixties to low seventies by late afternoon (Farenheit of course for you canucks!). Perfect convertible weather.

BUT, in July and August I often long to be in new England or Ontario so I guess it sort of evens out.

The good thing about us Canadian is that winter make us better driver because we are use to slide in the snow. And remember that the most spectacular driver if not the best is a canadian and when he was driving for Ferrari, he took 14 sec in a lap on a wet track. Check this video until the end and enjoy.

So sorry if I offended anyone. I will lighten up. But, I can't help it. I seem to be genitically obligated to offend and appoilogize. Like spiders have bad ground wires, I, apparently; lack the ability to ground myself - or maybe I'm too grounded and need to let a few wires cross over. Maybe I should become Canadian. Afterall, I like beer and cars that need constant attention - A. Did that work?

Again, just joking. I hope everyone has a happy holidays - by that I mean Merry Christmas but, I'm not allowed to say that.

I'm just blown away that there is a place called Swampscott! Makes Spokane sound almost normal.

Well that's about all the cold I can take crawling around under the dash working on the wiring. My '80 FI is going into storage today until probably late March. The Winters are generally long and cold here in the Boston area. Filled the tank and added stabilizer. I have good but unheated indoor storage, and easy access to start it up whenever the need arises. (probably weekly) I plan to put it up on stands and pull all 5 wheels, but only because they will be stripped and repainted over the Winter months. Otherwise I would most likely take advantage of the few really nice Winter days we get on occasion and tool around town in it!

Place the stands under the suspension points, so that the shocks, springs and bushings experience their normal load during storage.

Good idea, I hadn't considered that. Probably not a good idea to have that all hanging.

I'm thinking I'm not gonna store mine over the winter. It is currently 68 deg and I'm headed
To the woods to get some much needed deer hunting in as season closes first weekend of Jan
Thinking about putting the top down. If I kill I will then think on trying to get it home. Hey, there's
Room on the passengers side.

My Dad was an avid hunter. He never owned a truck, but I remember the 1975 Chevette he had that was treated like a truck. One hunting season he home with a cow moose in the back hatch, with the head between the front bucket seats. The next year he came home with a bull elk in the back. He had to tie the head up to the open hatchback so the rack wouldn't drag on the ground. Base on this, I would think there is plenty of room for a deer on the passenger side of the Spider!! :D
Ask me what color my neck is!!

Hey wheel , I like that. Sounds like your dad was a man to get things done. He sounds alot like mine. A long time ago when I first got married I came home one day with a buck and a doe in the trunk of our monte carlo, It was our family car and my wife not coming from a family of hunters was very upset with the blood pooling in the trunk .I think it gave her nightmares.
