1968 Rear End Need some help

I have a 1968 Spider i am stripping saving what i can the car is to far gone on some parts of the body
but the rear end has 410 gears I've never messed with a spider rear end this early the axle tubes are
much smaller then the later spiders my question is can the 410 gears from this 68 fit in the newer
rear ends ? who has played with these and made this change over .

Does the rear end have an enclosed driveshaft? if so the gears will only work in that style setup, if the rearend has a standard 4 bolt driveshaft, the gears will work in all pre mid 78 spiders, just replace the "pumpkin" as a unit.
if you were thinking of removing the ring and pinion , it will not work in a post mid 78 style.

If its not a torque tube rear end, its the same as a 69 ,70 and 71 1438 set up.
