Magnaflow Exhaust

Post by dinosabella »

Hello,

im considering a Magnaflow muffler and freeflow cat.

Does anyone have experience with this. Could someone recomend a size of muffler. I was on the magnaflow site and there are countless stainless steel universal mufflers with different applications.

Thanks in advance

I have a Magnaflow on mine. I'll have to look up the number though and post it later. No cat - my car is emissions exempt, so all smog equipment is gone. I have the IAP performance header - straight pipe to the Magnaflow. The car sounds incredible.
Loud and raspy enough to sound really good, but not too loud.

I used to install Magnaflows but the cost just went up too high. They will give a very deep sound, so owners that want more of the traditional "sports car" sound won't like them.

I have no cat and a Midas Dynaflow muffler. Great sound, reasonable cost.

My cat died a tragic death and is no longer. But I have an AR stock exhaust and it sounds great. Especially when the 2nd barrel kicks in. :D

Have heard that the Danny O'Donnell exhaust sound really good.

Same with the Thrush "welded" two chamber mufflers, fully aluminized and welded for $45CAD, they also have the same mufflers in SS. I just welded one up to replace the center muffler in my range rover for a better sound, my wife loves it!

besides the cost what really put me off is warranty they offered. We had polished stainless muffler with a lifetime warranty on a customers' car. the muff started to get rust holes in it when it was only 6 months old. Magnaflow really gave the customer a hard time about replacing it
